The appreciation and successful designs of the earlier Bus stands prompted the government to propose a Bus stand in Shiroda Goa, a village close to a the buzzing town of Ponda wherein most Hindu temples are situated .The design metaphor was the Garuda, the means of transport for Lord Vishnu, the protector of the world. Yet again the project won laurels and accolades in India and abroad.
