  • ABOUT THE PROJECT   : 

    The enriching and satisfying experience of the restoration of their house prompted Subur Munjee to buy the house across the street, which was an Old Library during the Portuguese era. She being the editor of Inside Outside wanted one for herself. Our Firm was hired and the restoration journey was revisited, to transform the building into a Library with two guest rooms and a small kitchen.

    Untitled-2 Although everything was planned in great detail and not a brick was laid until the complete plan was in place, perhaps a little more thought should have been given to storage and lighting. It was our first own house and a bit of a labour of love. Given that, we were very lucky to find Rahul to work with, with whom we were aesthetically totally in sync. We also happen to agree on the principles with which we would build the house. The relationship between Rahul and us was amicable and enjoyable, even dissent was enjoyable! We ended up not just with a beautiful house that we love living in but a lasting and close friendship. If I were ever to build a house again, I would do it with no other than with Rahul. Untitled-3
